Ibnae

 The Ibnae Territory

Paradise... That was the only word that could describe this place. It had every sort of enviornment imaginable! In front of you was an open field backed up by some gorgeous lush, green mountains. To your left was a forest full of butterflies and bunnies. On your right was a lovely crystal blue lake with icebergs a little ways off. You looked at the icebergs again. How come they hadn't melted? The temperature was definetly over 80 degrees, yet the icebergs remained completely frozen, sitting ever so still. To make sure you weren't dreaming, you pinch your arm, receiving a shock of pain, revealing that this wonderful place was not a dream. You wonder which habitat you should explore first. As if someone was giving you an answer, something catches your eye over in the lake. You turn your head and see some ripples in the water, as if a stone had been thrown there. Walking over to the lake to see what made the splash, you trip over a rock and land face up against the edge of the lake. A horse-like creature sticks its nose out of the water and squirts water in your face. You stand up coughing and see a creature that looks like a seal with a horse's head. It jumps around spraying water everywhere and then it dissapears. You look in the water to see where it went, but it is gone...

After watching the water for a little bit longer to see if the creature will come back, you find yourself walking back towards the forest. It's massive trees look big, even from the distance at which you are standing. For a moment, you acctually feel a little scared. Shaking your head you think, "They're just trees." You kick a rock in front of you on your way over to them. After a little while, you find yourself standing in front of a large tree. You look up and estimate it to be over 100 feet tall. You are wondering how thick it is when you hear a snuffling noise. You look around the tree to see a creature similiar to the one you saw in the water. This creature, unlike the water one, had wings and paws. You walk over to it and notice that it is now crunching noisly on a beatle. It sits down in front of you and wags its three tails. You notice that there is a vine intwined in it's tails. You bend down, trying to untangle the vine, thinking it might be hurting the poor animal. The creature jumps up and flies to the top of a branch and away into the forest. You get angry at yourself, "Why didn't you just leave it alone? It might have stayed longer...

That strange sensation tells you to go back out toward the field again. Walking out of the forest was harder than getting in. You couldn't remember your way in, but finally found your way out into the sunshine. You feel a cool wind and look up to see a cloud decending on the earth. You stumble back to get out of its way, but it comes faster and faster. It comes right over your head and you are instantly soaked. You look around you and see another creature. This one looks more like a horse than the other two, but with wings. It twitters around you and flaps its wings. "It is acting more like a butterfly than a horse," you think to yourself as it flutters around your head. You wonder what it is doing in the cloud. You look around and see nothing else strange about the cloud except this one critter. Shrugging your shoulders, you turn back to find the creature gone. "Drat!" you think again. You've lost another one...

The cloud rises up into the sky again. You sit down, wondering where to go next. As if someone took your head and pointed it toward the new place, your eyes wonder over the open field. Shrugging your shoulders, you walk forward a little bit. You look around and don't see anything. Over a little ways to your right, you see a large rock, just waiting to be sat upon. You walk over to it. You are just about to sit down when you notice some brown sticks, sticking out of the rock. You look a little closer, and see that it is not a rock, but another one of the strange creatures. Your mind races. This one is sleeping, so you carefully observe it, so as not to wake it. It has a sort of camoflauge pattern. You look a little closer and notice that it has a gold bracelet on it's front left paw. You are so tempted to touch the creature just to see what it feels like. Curiousity getting the better of you, you reach your hand out. The moment your hand leaves your side, the creature's eyes open, it jumps up, and runs away. You watch it leave thinking, "I wonder if I'll ever get to touch one..."

This time you are determined not to chase the creature away. That strange feeling once again brings you toward the lake. On your way over there, you start to get hungry. You look around, trying to see if there is anything edible in the paradise of a place. You notice that you are already at the lake. Holding your grumbling stomach, you look at the water as if the answer will appear in the ripples. Just then, another one of the magnificent creatures pokes its head out of the water. It has a fish in its mouth! The creature swims to the shore and plops the fish on the bank, nudging it towards you. You gratefully accept the fish, as it swims over to your right. You see a makeshift cave made out of giant rocks. Grateful for the creature's help, you settle down and make a fire out of some old logs and your lighter. You decide this is where you can stay for the night. You go outside to see if the creature is still there, but it has swam away...

You sit down and start to eat your fish. It is delicious! You think about all the wonderful creatures you had seen that day, and wondered how they all came to live here. You look up at the sky and see a huge raincloud. "I guess it even has to rain in paradise sometimes," you think to yourself. All of a sudden, it starts pouring down rain. You huddle next to your fire to keep warm. Out in the distance, you see a dark figure coming towards your cave. One of the creatures lands in the cave, dripping wet. You watch as it stretches its wings out and sits by the fire. It looks at you and cocks its head to the left. It walks around a bit and lays down to sleep. You don't dare touch it, as the last one ran away. You decide to lay down for a little bit and end up falling asleep. You wake up to a bright and sunny morning. You look over to where the creature was, but it had flown away...

You look outside the cave and see that the storm washed away a lot of the sand that was on the beach. You go back inside your cave and look around, trying to find something to do. Finding nothing, you go outside again. Down aways, walking along the shore was a person and his dog. Your eyes widen. You didn't think there were any other humans here. You run down the beach yelling, "Hello! Who are you?" The person stops when you get to him and smiles. "Hi!" he says, "I'm Jason." You look at his dog and see that it isn't a dog, but another one of those creatures. You look at him with your head cocked and say, "Wow! How'd you get one of those creatures to stay with you like that?" The other man looks at you and says, "Creature? What are you talking about? This is my Dalmation, David." Then he leans a little closer to you and winks. He starts walking down the beach again, "dalmation" following close behind...

After the wierd encounter with the man on the beach, you go back to your cave and pack up your things. You decide to walk back towards the field in search of more of the interesting creatures. You get to the field and the sun is starting to feel very hot. Getting a water out of your backpack, you look up into the sky at the sun. Out of nowhere, you see a telescope appear in the middle of the field. You look around, but see nothing out of the ordinary except that telescope. You take the bait, and look inside. You can see into space! There are little buttons on the side of the telescope, and you experiment with them. Some make it fuzzy, and another focuses it again. One of them zooms in. You press this button a couple of times and end up looking into the rings of Saturn. You see some movement on one of the rings, and zoom in closer. You see another one of those creatures! It is bouncing from rock to rock and looking like it is having a very good time. Then it settles down on one and falls asleep...

The strange feeling makes you want to go toward the mountains. You go over, and see a small cave entrance. You decide to go in, but it is very dark. Then a little light comes in from a crack in the ceiling. You see two familiar creatures. One was from the lake, and one was from the cave when it was raining. They come over to you, sniff your hand, and start jumping around like they remember you. Then they take you over to another corner of the cave. You see a tiny little creature. It is very different from the other one's that you have seen. It has claws, and wings, and a fin! You see the purple creature from the cave go over and sit down next to the little baby...

From another corner of the cave, you hear a sound. It sounds like a tiny squeaking. You walk over and look around, but don't see anything. After a while, you see a little crevass in the wall, and you see something moving inside it. You go over and see another baby. This one looks like the one you saw in the woods. It's a little green baby, that looks cold. You wrap the creature in your jacket and look around for a sign of any parents. After seeing none, you go back over to the parents and baby. You put the green creature down. After a couple minutes of sniffing and looking, the adult creatures take the baby along with their own..
