Silver Unicorns

You walk amongst the trees and head towards the sound of running water. You find a small pond with a broken down wooden sign. The paint is a little chipped, but you can still read the script. Stables. "Stables?" You think to yourself. That's funny. You follow the arrow on the sign and come to a pasture. Why is there a pasture in the middle of a forest? you wonder to yourself. The pasture is surrounded by the forest on all sides, yet in between some trees near the edge you see a large, barn. You walk over and look in the stalls but don't see anything.  Something catches your eye in the distance. The movement came from three unicorns. You walk up to them and hold out an apple from your backpack. The stallion walks confidently up to you and sniffs the apple, he takes it in his mouth and starts crunching away. The smaller mare pokes her nose out cautiously and then walks up in the shadow of the stallion and starts munching on some grass while keeping her eyes on you. Then the last one, a black and white mare, walks up in front of the little mare and looks into your eyes. She then starts grazing as well. You smile and watch them thoughtfully as they graze.
After a while, you hear a noise coming from the stalls. Many more horses and unicorns are moving toward you from the confines of the edge of the forest.
